To my readers

Recently one of my friends commited herself to composing -or rather writing- a blog for each of the novels that she reads in her leasure time. I myself found this to be a great idea and upon her encouragement I have decided to follow her course, discussing, analysing and sharing the precious novels that I read so often. Though few may happen upon this blog or find my opinion of any consequence I believe that much good will be imparted- if not only to myself. Though reading has become an uncommon and rare passtime I believe that those who still believe in the importance and joy of this god given gift might find my simple, yet sincere blog to be of some interest. I will seek first to examine the inspiration a work provides rather than to analyse such pieces of art- for that is what a book is- in a way that detracts from the authors initial meaning and tone. This may not be the kind of blog my teachers would thoroughly approve of but as the reader and now the writer, I believe that I have every right to state simply and animatedly the thoughts that find their way into my mind, however unstudied and naive they may seem. Books are created for the enjoyment of the reader and to impart some wisdom that may hitherto have been lost. This blog will help me to demonstrate the affect literature has on my life and the lives of each insividual that seeks comfort in the peace-giving p
repose of a well loved book. To those who may be reading this, whether it is with fervent interest or indifference, I entise you to read often and to use this resource as a means of inner reflection, if not enjoyment.
